6 people

6 people changed my life tonight. I don't know their names, but I will remember their faces for the rest of my life.

I did stand up comedy tonight for the first time in my college town. The crowd was very small, thanks a lot test week, but they came. For that I will be forever grateful. I tried comedy before in San Antonio, it didn't go as well as I hoped, but I did it. Tonight I had my first big laugh, and that feeling is the best feeling I have ever had in the world. My set was no more then 4 minutes long, I'm being generous in my time estimate, but I will never forget that moment. 3 people went up before me, and being the new guy in town I had to go last. I'm sure I was awkward on stage, but for one second, I made everyone laugh. Even the more established comedians liked my jokes. I have to be up early in the morning, but I have to make note of what I did. I might have found out what I want to do for the rest of my life tonight. Words can not describe how I'm feeling right now. Tonight I took the first step. I also need to blog for one of my classes, so I am killing two birds with one stone.

To those 6 audience members who came out and enjoyed my show, thank you. To the M.C. who told me, "you're already here, you're going on bitch", thank you for giving me the chance and the pep talk.

One small step for man.........Fuck that they faked the moon landing.

He's Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man its good to be back, as many of you know I took the last year off of school and moved home to San Antonio. That was a big decision, but I can say now that I made the right one. A lot has changed since then, so I will try to give you a recap as quickly as possible. In Feb I was diagnosed with some digestion problems. I have Fructose Malabsorption, which means I'm not supposed to eat anything with sugar or gluten in it. That means no candy or beer people, thats not the easiest thing for a college kid to adjust to, but I've lost 50 pounds since then, so I'm not complaining too much. I also finally got the courage to do some stand up in my hometown. I didn't kill, but I was'nt the worst act there so that's encouraging. I recently found a place in College Station where I can do some stand up, so it looks like I'm going to follow that dream for a little bit longer. I also started writing a book, but if I know myself I probably never finish it. I'm back at Texas A&M by the way, what's up haters?, and I excited to be back. I got one of my old job's back, and I have been working my ass off there. Anyway I had to write this blog for my class, but I'm glad I can get back into this place. I've always said that I am a very open person, and this blog is just another avenue to interact with the universe. I'll try to keep y'all updated on my stand up career, if you can even call it that, and everything else I have going on. Keep on Keepin on Khough

Casey Anthony Verdict

7/6/11

Yesterday Casey Anthony was found not guilty of murdering her daughter. Do I think she did it? Honestly I don't know. I do think she made terrible choices, and is a terrible person, but there wasn't enough evidence to convict her of murder. That is how our justice system works folks. I know this is a completely un-popular view point, but its not what you know, its what you can prove in court.

The one person I can blame for this national outrage is people like Nancy Grace. Unfortunately children are murdered every day in our society, but Nancy Grace, and others, decided to turn this trail into a media frenzy. She decided to completely attack and destroy this woman's character for ratings on her tv show. She decided to turn a person who made terrible choices, and reacted to her daughters death in a very unsettling way, into the central figure of a nation wide witch hunt without having enough evidence to back it up. Did Casey Anthony probably do it? Yes, but with out a murder weapon, motive, or DNA evidence in her trunk, you can't charge her with the crime.

The prosecution made the terrible decision to push for murder one, and say that it wasn't negligence, and they could not provide enough evidence to back it up. Because they pushed so hard for the strictest crime, they screwed themselves out of the crime that would actually stick. I know this is not an opinion people will agree with, but thats how our justice system works. You have to be able to prove that someone committed a crime in order to charge them with it. They went to trial way too early, and were unprepared for what happened. The national buzz, created by people like Nancy Grace, forced them to trial earlier then they should have gone. I don't think its "right" that she walks free, but you cannot blame the jury or judge. They made the only logical decision based on what evidence they had. It totally sucks, but thats how we do things around here.

Also Kim Kardashian does not get to voice an opinion on a case like this, Casey's trial was the biggest since the O.J. trial, and your dad got him off. Your last name is the only reason any one cared about your sex tape, and that tape is why your famous today. I just hope you are friends one day with the daughter of Jose Baez, so you can teach her how to become famous for no apparent reason.

I'mmm Back!!!!!!!

6-22-11

Man I haven't done this in a while, but let me explain why I haven't had time to write anything for fun.

Its summer now, and my summer consists of working 3 jobs, and taking summer school. I produce 2 different radio shows and I work at the Rec center. Let me walk you through some of the highlights of the last month's work.

I called a guest 145 times in the span of 20 minutes because he bailed on his interview, and one of my bosses is vindictive. I talked to someone from London, that was cool, but I laughed at their accent, and then I got yelled at because I was spending too much time on the phone with someone in a foreign country. I discovered the song, "Gucci Gucci", youtube that ish right now, and was dancing for like the entire show to the displeasure of my employer. I'm getting stone walled by the Golf Channel and HBO. Apparently they don't think I am enough of a "big fish" to get a call back, oh well I hate golf and ordered showtime out of spite. I played way too much sporcle, but at least the on air hosts love it, they hover over my desk during commercial breaks. Our show has one stalker, so I have to constantly avoid him, and finally I am getting paid to learn about sports media, I couldn't be happier.

The Rec has been interesting as well, I worked an all nighter for a local high school graduation party. I just baby sat kids all night, it was terrible. Plus I had to keep the kids from getting each other preggo, not that I care, I'm just not going to be on that clean up duty. I was depressing going home to fall asleep while the sun was up.

And then I have class, but thats not worth mentioning.

I'm coming back to this, and I will have my NBA draft thoughts tomorrow night.

four loko

4-12-11
This has been the craziest 4 days of my life. My grandmother passed away on friday, and she meant much more to me then a regular grandmother. She lived in the same neighborhood as me, and basically raised me. She was a huge part of my life and I miss her dearly.
We buried her this morning, monday, and then when I came home my girlfriend of around 3 years decided we were in different places in our lives and we decided to call it quits. I have nothing bad to say about her, even though her timing is terrible, because I really do care about her.
I have not even began to process everything thats happing to me right now. If your reading this say a prayer for me, because I am going through some tough times.

Donald Glover

3-28-11

Quick blog update coming right down the pipe,
I have a very addictive personality, which is why these blogs come few and far between lately. I find something new and completely dive into it. I have been writing things down, but I will try to post things up here more often.
Back to my addictive personality, I have become obsessed with podcasts. I have been listening to Doug Loves Movies almost every day. Find it on itunes if you like movies and comedy.
Donald Glover might be one the most talented people on the planet right now. If you don't know who he is, watch Community, Thursday nights on NBC, I should get paid for that plug. He also performs stand up comedy, and was a writer for 30 rock, but his music is what I am all about right now. His persona is named Childish Gambino, and he sings and raps over like techno electronica beats. I did a terrible job of describing it, but if you like good music Check it out.
I recently got a job as a producer at a radio station, which has been such a blessing. I am completely intrigued with this profession right now, and hopefully this will open more doors for me.
I have like 3 tests this week and have a writing assignment, so I will probably update this as I get time, or as I become delirious. My boy "classic" started a blog, and its hilarious. I will link it at the end.
Everything I'm sayin', I'm super Saiyan like Goku

Trade deadline madness

Welcome back,
Its been a while but this has been a crazy semester but I finally made time to write this so here we go.
The NBA trade deadline happened today, and boy did we have some action. I am going to tell you my winners and losers of all the major trades today.
Winners bracket
The New York Knicks- They gave up a lot of their starting lineup, but they got a superstar in Carmelo Anthony, and a proven winner in Billups. This was a move they absolutely had to make, they blew up their team a couple of years ago to get three superstars, and acquiring melo vindicated that move. They wont contend for a championship this year, but maybe melo and amare can get cp3 to play with them. Overall grade A
The thunder- WOW. They pulled off a miracle trade in getting perkins, who is quietly one of the best post defenders in the league. They got the perfect piece to place them into championship contention in the western conference. I would not want to play this team come playoff time. Overall grade A+
The nuggets and the jazz- both teams had to do the hardest thing ever in trading away a superstar player. They did however receive a nice group of young players and picks. And they avoided becoming next years Cleveland cavs, which is always a plus. Over all grade B+
The Clippers- They moved a terrible contract and made room for Blake Griffin to become the leader of that team. Plus by adding jamario moon their games can always turn into dunk contests. Overall grade B
The heat and magic- suddenly became a lot more likely to beat the boston celtics. No if they can get a few free agents they could become even more dangerous.

Losers Bracket
Boston Celtics- They traded away their advantage over the rest of the NBA, size and interior defense. This team is built to win now, so I dont understand making a trade for the future at this point. Overall grade D
Memphis Grizzlies- They basically told O.J. Mayo they didnt want him there anymore, but just forgot to trade him. I bet that little scrap with tony allen earlier in the year wont be the only time he gets knocked out this year. Grade F
Utah Jazz fans- They lost their coaching icon and then traded the star point guard who "ran him off". The last time things were this sad in Utah Michael Jordan was making Malone regret having the ball stripped from him in the post. Thats what happened before "the shot" in case you dont remember. You can't put a grade on depression.
D-Will- Got traded to New Jersey, that really needs no description. On the plus side I think Snooki is looking for a man!!
I am totally excited about how these story lines will play out, let me know what you think.
